Paint Night Themes You Can Finish in Two Hours

The theme is the promise on the invitation. It should be something a guest can picture before they arrive, and something they can finish before they leave. These four themes are the ones we come back to because they do not depend on drawing skill.
Moon
Paint the sky in one dark colour. When it is dry enough not to smear, stamp or circle a moon with a round brush. A few dots are stars. That is the whole painting. It also leads into a galaxy night if the group wants a second canvas later.
Daisy or sunflower
The centre is a circle. Petals are short strokes that touch the circle. A sunflower wants a brown centre and yellow strokes. A daisy wants a yellow centre and white strokes. The stem is one line. See the sunflower guide if that is the theme you send on the invite.
Mountain
Two overlapping triangles, a lighter one in front. The sky is painted first. Snow is a dry-brush white along the top edge only. Do not outline the mountains in black. The colour change is the edge.
One leaf
A single leaf fills the canvas better than a branch full of them. Paint the leaf shape, then one vein. Fall orange, spring green, or a red maple all use the same steps. This is the easiest seasonal swap on the list.
