Fun NYE Countdown Crafts and Noise Makers to Make at Home

Midnight is more fun if the children made the noise. These two crafts use paper and a paper plate.

Noise maker

A paper plate folded in half with a few dry beans inside, stapled shut, and shaken. Decorate the outside. Staples are an adult job.

Countdown chain

Twelve paper loops if you are staying up until midnight, or six if bedtime is earlier. Remove one an hour.

The rule

Noise makers come out for the countdown, then go in a bag. Everyone sleeps better.
