Mason Jar Cookie Mixes: Easy Homemade Holiday Gifts with Printable Tags
A cookie mix jar is a gift and a plan for a rainy afternoon. The tag matters more than the ribbon, because it has the bake instructions.
Layer
In a clean jar: flour and baking powder, then brown sugar, then chocolate chips or dried fruit. Tap the jar so the layers sit flat.
The tag
Print a tag. It should say to add the wet ingredients and bake. A pretty jar with no instructions is a frustrating gift.
One jar per person
Make them in a batch. Label as you go so you do not mix up the tags.
