Galaxy Paint Night Ideas
A galaxy canvas is popular because it hides uneven brushwork. You are blending clouds of colour on a dark ground, then adding stars. There is no drawing to get wrong.
The three steps
Cover the canvas in black or deep navy. While it is wet, press purple, blue, and a little pink in separate clouds and soften the edges with a dry brush. Let that set. Stars are the last five minutes: a small brush, a toothbrush flick, or a fingertip of white.
Too many stars make it look like noise. Leave some dark sky.
Ways to vary it
A moon on top of the galaxy turns it into a night-sky painting. A couple can paint two canvases with different nebula colours. Halloween groups can keep the palette purple and black. The steps do not change.
Supplies
You need black, purple, blue, a touch of pink or white, and a wide brush plus something small for stars. Paper towels matter more than extra colours. Blending is the skill, and it is mostly wiping.
