DIY Thanksgiving Wood Box Centerpiece with Mini Pumpkins

A centrepiece in a box is easy to lift when the serving dishes show up. That is the point.

The box

A shallow crate or a loaf pan you do not mind using. Line it with kraft paper if the wood is rough.

Fill

Mini pumpkins first, then pinecones in the gaps, then a few leaves. Keep it lower than a water glass.

The day of

Put it on the table in the morning. Move it to the sideboard before you sit down if the table is full.
