A galaxy canvas is popular because it hides uneven brushwork. You are blending clouds of colour on a dark ground, then adding stars. There is no drawing to get wrong.<\/p>\n

The three steps<\/h2>\n

Cover the canvas in black or deep navy. While it is wet, press purple, blue, and a little pink in separate clouds and soften the edges with a dry brush. Let that set. Stars are the last five minutes: a small brush, a toothbrush flick, or a fingertip of white.<\/p>\n

Too many stars make it look like noise. Leave some dark sky.<\/p>\n

Ways to vary it<\/h2>\n

A moon on top of the galaxy turns it into a night-sky painting. A couple can paint two canvases with different nebula colours. Halloween groups can keep the palette purple and black. The steps do not change.<\/p>\n

Supplies<\/h2>\n

You need black, purple, blue, a touch of pink or white, and a wide brush plus something small for stars. Paper towels matter more than extra colours. Blending is the skill, and it is mostly wiping.<\/p>\n
