A paper plate folded in half with a few dry beans inside, stapled shut, and shaken. Decorate the outside. Staples are an adult job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Countdown chain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Twelve paper loops if you are staying up until midnight, or six if bedtime is earlier. Remove one an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Noise makers come out for the countdown, then go in a bag. Everyone sleeps better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
